All the MR2s posted look like ass.

I'll never understand why people want to take a decent looking car and turn it into crap.

alot of people i know dont like SW looks, i dont think its bad but i wouldnt say it particularly like it. so to each his own.

as far as money goes, im a cheap bastard but i love kit cars (very contradictory) and most replica type kit cars can run upwards of $20k easily, and up to $100k in some cases for crazy lambos on custom tube chassis.
how much of that comes back on selling it depends. a 355 replica that looks authentic (not just a front bumper) like an extreme 355 will get about 20 to 25k in the US. how expensive the road to get there will determine profit or losses.

Well, the kit is a good looking kit when installed properly like on the yellow one above. The thing I don't get is why you would want to spend over $10K to have a car that looks like a Ferrari with a drivetrian that has something like one quarter of the power. Could you imagine the kind of MR2 you could have with $10K invested in suspension, engine and transmission upgrades, wowzers.

Again I think it looks great but not for me. I want the go, not very interested in the show.

So is it just me or did the video posted show it completed and pics in a cemetery or is that just me?

I thought I liked this front bumper but now I am not so sure. Even if you clean it up with that front line in front I am just not sure anymore.

PERSONALY, i would rather spend that 15-20k on my motor/suspension etc then looks, after al a body kit wont make your car any faster even if it looks like a Ferrari. dang i could have one of the fastes MK1s in oregon for 20k :) just my thoughts on the matter though like someone said up there it is your car do what you want

thats pretty much where most draw the line between what they want their car for.
most pretty and expensive cars dont get driven fast, replicas and kit cars included. with a few exceptions, no one races their kit cars, on tracks or streets, so putting 20k into the suspension or motor is way overkill for somthing thats just supposed to [ideally] feel sporty and go 90mph tops. most of these cars have $3000+ paint and $2000+ wheels.

Ferrari front bumper

mine looks pretty good

ferrari kit on an mr2= fake...lol...it's not a bad looking kit really, just a little hard to fit the front bumper

I think your Ferrari kit looks good. I'm particularly interested in the front bumper. Every person that I see who has one has commented about the
difficulty of fitting it. What is the problem(s)? Is it something that a good
body man can't routinely take care of? I've still got a while to go before I
get to this point, but I really like the looks of that bumper. Not that I'm trying
to get that "Ferrari" look, I just like the smaller grill opening and fog lights.
It seems that the other bumper kits have a huge opening and they all seem
to use the huge stock fogs. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

thx

I agree, I love the look of a stock mr2 and dont like body kits at all, but some conversions are worthy of recognition. Here is a good conversion.

Whats the difference between that and one of the weird combat front ends? To each his own. Were all car fans. Some people like 5 foot tall rear wings, some like no rear wings. Good for them all. Thats the beauty in owning and customizing your car! In the end its your car!!! And thats why you love it

+5 internets to you sir. I have not heard such eloquent words defending a person's choices of what to do with their duce in a long while. :thumbup
